Terms & Privacy

Independent contractors

Workers on Rush are independent contractors — not employees of Rush or of the businesses they work with. Workers are responsible for their own taxes; Stripe issues a 1099-NEC at the federal $600/year threshold.

Non-circumvention

To keep everyone protected, all interactions stay on the platform. For six months after meeting through Rush, a worker and business may not arrange work directly off-platform. Violations carry $1,000 in liquidated damages per firm. Report suspected circumvention from any shift or profile.

Payments & fees

Businesses pay the worker's wage plus a flat 15% Rush platform fee (minimum $5 per shift). Workers receive 100% of their wage, and cancellation fees go 100% to the worker. Pay is based on agreed hours and is released within two business days.

Privacy

Contact details unlock only on mutual confirmation and are removed from view 24 hours after a shift ends. Financial details (SSN, bank) are held only by Stripe — Rush never stores them. Location timestamps are retained for 90 days for dispute resolution.
